Activities and Amenities
Activities in the camp are geared around taking guests on safari drives in the reserve, at which a wide variety of Kenyan wildlife can be spotted, as well as the Samburu Five; the gerenuk, baisy oryx, grevy’s zebra, the Somali ostrich and the reticulated giraffe. The drives are taken in comfortable, open-sided 4WD vehicles. Apart from safari drives there is also provision for game walks led by armed rangers and a guide, a private sundowner where nibbles and drinks are also served, bush dinners and breakfast, as well as a spa tent for massages. Guests can also visit a local village at about a 15 minutes’ drive to know more about Samburu culture and rural life. These are however at an additional cost.
The camp also has a comfortable open-front lounging area with large armchairs and sofas, and a great view of the river. There are hammocks and swing chairs by the riverbank, and a riverside sitting area set up around a campfire, an ideal spot for watching the sun set over some drinks.
