Ndali Lodge



Ndali Lodge is set stunningly amidst the Bunyaruguru Crater Lake region of Western Uganda, 26 kilometres south of Fort Portal lies at the centre of 1000 acres of privately owned fertile farmland still cultivated in a traditional style.

There is a main thatched lodge with spacious sitting room, reception area and dining room flanked by 8 cottages providing luxurious accommodation for 16 guests. The cottages which face west offer a panoramic view of the spectacular 'Mountains of the Moon'. They were designed by Capt. Mark Price and are built of local stone and thatch. The interiors are imaginatively and comfortably furnished where the decor emphasis in on the use local materials.

Each cottage, large enough to accommodate a family, has en-suite facilities with bath, shower, WC and hand basin and a private verandah, perfect for watching the sun setting behind the Rwenzori mountains, the snow-capped peaks of which are clearly visible on a clear day.

Take a boat ride on the lake, take a nature walk around the area.  Enjoy the food, tastefully prepared, simply a lovely place to stay at when you are visiting Kibale Forest for chimpanzee tracking and activities such as birding.  There is also a beautiful swimming pool for your comfort...all in all Ndali Lodge

Primate Lodge


Primate Lodge in Kibale is an exclusive eco-lodge situated in the heart of Kibale Forest National Park. It is surrounded by a lush tropical forest that is home to 13 different species of primates, including the chimpanzees.

Privately secluded in the rainforest, this safari lodge offers you a truly authentic jungle experience and is the perfect gateway for tracking the primates in Uganda.

Luxury Safari Tents
The eight luxury safari tents are raised on a wooden platform and covered by a grass-thatched roof, perfectly blending with the natural environment. Each has a private veranda with a splendid view of the surrounding forest. The interior is tastefully decorated in African style, with comfortable queen-sized beds, brightly coloured bedspreads and large windows to take in the forest. En suite bathrooms are finished with a natural touch of local stone, bamboo and wall paintings.

Forest Cottages
Seven intimate cottages are privately situated in the forest. The rooms feature their own veranda and are equipped with large twin beds and a sitting area, nicely decorated with traditional African art. En suite is a fully equipped bathroom with shower and flushing toilet.

Sky Tree House
Adventurous travellers are welcome to spend an exciting night high up in the tree in our remote Sky Tree House. This Tree House comprises of a simple bedroom and basic washing facilities at the foot of the tree. It is located at a 10 minutes walk from the main lodge, overlooking the scenic elephant wallow. Not surprisingly, it is often visited by the forest elephants at night!

There is also a well-maintained campsite with shared washing facilities available for guests who wish to bring their own tent.

Kibale Forest Camp


Located near the Bigodi Swamp and the camp it self is a bit of paradise for birders in itself.  Kibale Forest Camp is a small tented camp in the African Safari style in the jungle of Kibale Forest.

The camp consists of 7 African safari style tents, comfortably furnished with twin or double beds. Each unit has its own private ensuite bathroom with an eco friendly toilet, a dressing room and a bush shower. Seated from your own verandah, the red or black and white colobus can often be observed in the dense camp surrounding.

Kyaninga Lodge


Set against a stunning backdrop of Lake Kyaninga and the legendary Mountains of the Moon beyond, Kyaninga Lodge is the spectacular result of one man’s vision and six years of unwavering commitment to creating an experience of Africa’s beauty unlike anything else.

Kyaninga Lodge’s eight cottages are built on platforms and set apart to offer privacy and tranquility. Access to the cottages from the main lodge is via a raised wooden walkway. Each spacious cottage is beautifully appointed with a a choice of twin or double beds made up with the softest bedlinens and feather pillows. An indoor sitting area leads out to a private deck where one can enjoy morning tea or coffee and views over the lake and the Mountains of the Moon beyond. The en suite bathrooms boast marble countertop basins set atop beautifully crafted Elgon Olive pedestals, claw footed freestanding baths, glass walled showers and plenty of hot water from solar water heaters. Lighting in the cottages is also solar powered, and each cottage features an electrical socket for the charging of laptops and other appliances, providing the comforts of home in an extraordinary setting. Extra beds, hypoallergenic pillows and bedding are available on request.
