Olakira Camp

.

The Northern Serengeti (Jun – Nov)
The Southern Serengeti (Dec – Mar)
OVERVIEW
Meaning “star” in Swahili, Olakira Camp aims to deliver an intimate and authentic safari experience.

Between June and November, Olakira Camp establishes itself in one of the most unspoilt locations in the Northern Serengeti. Situated further east from its sister camp Sayari Camp and most other camps, Olakira allows guests exclusive use of the largely undisturbed Bolongonja area. In addition to this, the camp is situated very close to the Mara River overlooking a crossing point regularly used by the Great Migration.

SOUTHERN AND NOTHERN SERENGETI
Olakira Camp operates in the prime wildlife areas of the southern (Ndutu) and northern Serengeti (Mukutano - at Mara River). Though the camp is positioned to be within reach of the Migration, proximity to the Migration can't be guaranteed due to the unpredictable nature of animals and the limited availability of good campsites in case conditions change.

ACCOMMODATION
Olakira Camp has only 9 tented rooms - small and intimate. The tents are spacious with king-size or twin beds and bathrooms. Each tent has its own private verandah with a private view overlooking the Serengeti. Enjoy your morning sunrise with a cookie and coffee.

Bathrooms have a shower, wash basin and an environmentally friendly toilet, using water and environmentally friendly chemicals. A 'green' wonderful bathroom in the middle of Serengeti National Park.

ACTIVITIES
Game driving & bird watching, picnics, watching nature & wildlife from camp. Walking safaris can be done from December to March in the NCAA side of Ndutu. In the months June - November, walking can only be done when combining with a stay at Sayari Camp.
